TikTok is pushing LIVE...

And it's happening faster than you think.

I found this out the other month when I went into their HQ office.

They told me that over the next couple of quarters, the percent of TikTok Shop Products that are sold on Live will significantly increase 👀👀👀

With that being said, shoppable videos aren’t going anywhere… they are still a much higher percent than lives.

If you want to get an idea of where TikTok is heading…

Just take a look at the Chinese version of TikTok (it's called Douyin).

What you notice is that live shopping is a huge part of that platform.

It's pretty interesting to see the difference.

We’re likely going to see a rise in "gamified" live streams soon.

Think game show style lives.

A live where the viewers are included on the action.

We’re already seeing this slightly with things like:

  • Celebration when a viewer buys

  • Countdowns

  • Limited inventory available

I bet we see this trend continue and creators take this to the next level.
