The "TikTok Wrapped" Trap đł
Your year-end recap isn't your worth

Alright, letâs just get ahead of this.
TikTok Wrapped is about to roll out and a lot of creators are gonna get in their heads.
And I get it you see those little graphics, you see someone elseâs numbers, and suddenly youâre judging your entire year in five seconds.
Please donât do that to yourself.
Your recap isnât the full story. It doesnât show:
the days you posted when you didnât feel like it
the videos that taught you something
the products that were out of stock
the GMV Max bumps you didnât get
the timing that worked or didnât work
the skills you built this year that donât show up in a stat
TikTok Wrapped is a highlight reel.
And highlight reels leave out all the parts that actually made you better.
So when you see it, take it with a grain of salt.
Look at it, smile, cool â and then get back to what matters: what youâre doing this month, not what an app summary thinks about your year.
Youâre building something long-term.
A recap wonât tell you the truth about that.

1) Black Friday didnât define your Q4
A lot of you felt disappointed last week which is totally normal.
But Q4 doesnât stop on Black Friday!
People buy straight through mid-December, and honestly, Christmas Day can be one of the weirdly strongest scrolling days of the year.
The worst thing you can do right now is tap out early.
2) Find a posting pace you can actually sustain
One creator shared they posted over 2,000 videos this year and still felt behind.
That feeling doesnât mean you âfailed.â
It means youâre recalibrating.
Your job isnât to post the most.
Your job is to find the number where you can consistently create good videos without burning yourself out.
3) When your video gets views but no sales, donât panic!
This almost always comes down to clarity.
If people donât understand the product fast, they donât buy.
Thatâs fixable.
Show the product more clearly. Show how it works. Give people the âohhhâ moment sooner.
4) GMV Max: leave it ON
This is when brands are spending the most.
Donât toggle it on and off every other day â it messes with the systemâs learning.
Q4 is heavy ad spend season for brands âĄď¸ this is also when the system is most likely to pick up your content.
If itâs available to you, keep it on and let it work.
