Here’s how to price your videos … 💰💰
This is probably the #1 question we get asked at our agency.
Creators are either undervaluing themselves or they don't know how to price their content effectively.
Let's break this down.
When you go about pricing your videos, you have to think from the brand's standpoint.
It’s all about ROI for them.
Because the brand’s GMV isn’t their actual profit—they have other expenses like the cost of the product, affiliate percentages, shipping, inventory storage, and more.
So, if they’re paying a creator $1,000, they realistically need to make at least $5,000 in GMV.
You have to note that most e-commerce brands usually have pretty slim margins, so they’re careful about what they spend.
A simple way for you to estimate your ROI:
Start by looking at your GMV over the last 30 days (or 28 days) and figure out how many videos you’ve made in that time.
Then, divide the two.
For example, if you’ve generated $10,000 in GMV and made 60 videos, you’re averaging about $167 in GMV per video. ($10,000 / 60) = $167
Now, if the brand is looking for a 5x ROI, they would be in the ballpark of paying $33 per video, or $333 for 10 videos plus commissions.
This isn’t a hard rule, but it’s a great way to do some quick calculations and understand how brands might be evaluating your rates!
