Does going LIVE on TikTok Shop help or hurt your organic growth…?
One thing that scares creators more than anything is the fear of losing their audience the moment they start promoting products.

"Does TikTok Shop content hurt your organic growth?"
The answer? It's not as black and white as you might think.
Rox, one of our coaches, shared her experience: "I think it depends on what you do on that LIVE."
Here's the strategy Rox used to balance TikTok Shop with organic growth:
She started by doing LIVES with no shop content at all. This helped her grow a community of regular viewers.
Then, she began slowly incorporating products into her LIVES.
Over time, her content became more product-focused.
The result? In Rox's words: "Do I think I've lost some of them because I'm selling? Absolutely. But I do have the steady eddies that keep coming."
So, what does this mean for you?
It only means that while you might lose some viewers when you start selling, it's possible to maintain a core audience if you approach it strategically.
People follow you for your personality, your stories, and the way you connect with them.
If you continue to be genuine and relatable while introducing products that resonate with your audience, you can maintain your community while making sales.
Here’s what you can do:
Switch it up: Not every LIVE has to be about selling! Mix in community-building LIVES where you just hang out with your audience. Have fun, chat, share behind-the-scenes moments, and keep it real.
Product lives that pop: When you do go LIVE for a sales-focused session, make it worth their time. Show off your products in a way that’s interactive and fun—ask questions, respond to comments, share personal stories. Make the experience feel like more than just a transaction.
Test, test, test: Test out different approaches and see what resonates best with your audience. Go LIVE at different times, mix in both community-focused and sales-driven lives, and most importantly, listen to your audience’s feedback. 😎😎😎

This video leverages expert credibility to solve a common problem.
Pay attention to how the creator starts with a relatable issue, then immediately points to an expert's opinion.
