TikTok Shop Lives: Should you use music or not…?
Let’s talk about something that’s been causing a lot of confusion lately—using music in TikTok Shop lives.
This topic came up during our recent Affiliate Accelerator call, and we’ve got some insights to share.
Technically, you cannot use music in your TikTok Shop lives. This is especially true for copyrighted music.
However, some creators have been using non-copyrighted tunes without facing any issues.
Here's what one of our LIVE coaches, Rox, shared:
Rox: "I used to use music all the time, and then I stopped because I read that you can't use music. Technically, you cannot use music."
TikTok's guidelines around music in lives are still a bit unclear, leaving many creators unsure of what's safe.
It really comes down to how you interpret TikTok's policies and how comfortable you are navigating these gray areas.
Our best advice…
Play it safe…skip the music in your lives if you can. It's not worth the potential hassle.
If you really feel you need some background tunes, stick to non-copyrighted music. There are plenty of options out there that won't land you in trouble.
And lastly…focus on you, your products, and how you engage with your audience. That's the real moneymaker.
Remember, your personality and products are the real stars of your TikTok lives.
Keep your content authentic and stay on the right side of TikTok's rules.
