I've been noticing something huge on TikTok lately—comparison style videos are blowing up.

People are going wild for these product showdowns,

But before you try this one, there's something important you need to know…

You absolutely cannot mention brand names in your videos.

TikTok’s policy is clear on this.

Let's take a look at these two examples below to see exactly what I mean:

Example #1 ($50k GMV last 7 days)

Which pastie is better? I think the results speak for themselves! I can see why they were on shark tank and are award winning, truly! @CAKES Body

Notice how she compares the product to another one… but she doesn’t mention the name of the other brand…! This is key.

Example #2 ($125k GMV last 30 days)

Hurry before this sale ends #waterflosser #cheap #dentist

When this creator pulls up screenshots of other products, notice how he blurs out all of the logos and the names of the other brands!

If you want to make comparison style videos, keep this in mind!

TikTok's Policy Reminder:

TikTok doesn’t allow malicious comparisons that specifically target another brand, branded product or competitor.

So, when you’re creating comparison content, make sure to keep it generic.

Cover up any brand names or logos to stay within the guidelines.
