1.Over-selling Doesn’t Sell


You’ve got 15-30 seconds to make your point.

Packing in too many hooks or problems? It’s a recipe for disaster.

"When you try to sell to everyone, you actually sell to no one," Alyssa pointed out.

If your audience came for a solution to bad breath but got hit with a laundry list of other problems…

They’re scrolling away.

Focus: One problem. One solution. Keep it simple.

2.Timing Is Everything


Cramming all the good stuff into the last few seconds feels rushed and fake. We’ve all seen it:


"It’s on sale, only $60, grab it before it’s gone!"

And guess what? Viewers can smell the script from a mile away.

Pro Move: Spread your selling points naturally throughout the video.

Editing Errors Kill Engagement


Pauses and dead space might seem small, but they’re scroll triggers. Alyssa’s golden rule?


"Don’t let me breathe. The last consonant of one word should lead right into the next."

Tight edits = better pacing = viewers stick around.

3.Your Hook Matters


Leading with the product in your hook? Bad idea. As Alyssa says:


"I love to be intrigued for reasons other than the fact it’s an ad. If the product is the first thing I see, I’m out."

Better Hook: Create curiosity, tell a story, or show a relatable moment before you introduce the product.
